Clip in Hair Extensions

There are two types of extensions: synthetic and natural. A synthetic clip in extension is made from different synthetic fibers and they are heavier when compared to natural hair. They are often made from polyester, monofilament or silicone. Since it is heavier than natural hair, it stays flat when it is blown by the wind or it is often blown on the opposite direction instead. They cannot be dyed or colored. It means that whatever colors that you choose it will stay the same unless you buy another one. They are also harder to maintain and wash since it is made from synthetic materials.

Natural clip in extensions on the other hand are made from constructed human hair. It can be treated like your own hair. They are easier to handle when compared to synthetically made clip in extensions and they can be washed, curled, dried, straightened and dyed. Since it is made from natural hair, it can easily trick the eyes of other people since it will look like your own hair. However, they are more expensive when compared to synthetic clip extensions.

After choosing the type of clip in for your hair, the next one is choosing the color and texture of the hair extensions. It is best to look for a color and texture that is almost the same as your hair. If you plan on doing different types of hairstyles, you might want to consider straight hair. However, this is only applicable for natural extensions. You can do whatever style you want for your hair. The number of extensions that you will get depends on your preference. If you want to add volume, it is required to get 6 to 8 clip-in hairs. If you want to add length, you will need at least 8 hair extensions. If you want to have both, you need at least 12 clip-in extensions. This can make your hair look thick and long.
